Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee daily operations, farm facilities, cows, and staff at a dairy site. You will lead a team, coordinate with ownership and site managers, and ensure performance parameters and standards are met.

The role emphasizes employee development, record-keeping, and hands-on management to maintain efficient site operations and animal welfare. Leadership and bilingual communication are valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Dairy background and experience working directly with dairy cattle strongly preferred.
• Experience with herd health and herd management helpful.
• Previous leadership or employee management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to train, lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
• Good computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish at some level.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with ownership, management, and employees at all levels.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take initiative.
• Willingness to be hands-on and involved in the daily operation of the site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the dairy site with an emphasis on employee leadership, training, and team development.
• Provide direction and accountability to employees, aligning with company standards.
• Monitor herd health, herd performance, animal wellbeing, and parlor performance.
• Oversee feed reports, feeding practices, and bunk management.
• Prepare for and complete required inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Address repairs and general facility upkeep; ensure issues are corrected promptly.
• Continuously evaluate operations for improvement and advance site performance.
