Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Separator and Clarifier Operator to run and maintain clarifiers and associated equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation and proper documentation. The role emphasizes food safety and sanitation across all tasks.

You will identify flows, troubleshoot processes, and participate in training and equipment maintenance while upholding Hilmar’s standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• English proficiency to understand, read, write and speak clearly.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Clarifiers and Fines Equipment.
• Identify flows from Cheese Vats to packaging and whey routing.
• Troubleshoot plant issues with equipment and processes.
• Maintain operation and sanitation of equipment including CIP/COP systems.
• Perform in-process sampling as assigned.
• Communicate safety/quality issues to leadership.
