fairlife, LLC, based in Chicago, seeks a Senior Manager of Dairy Scientific and Regulatory Affairs to oversee dairy regulatory compliance from plant to end product. You will translate complex issues into practical guidance and influence regulatory standards with government agencies and industry bodies.

You will partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, Legal, Marketing, and Public Affairs, serving as a technical SME while engaging with organizations like IDFA, NCIMS, NADRO, IDF, and CODEX.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific or technical field such as dairy/food science, public health, microbiology, or nutrition.
• Minimum of eight to ten years of experience in legislative, regulatory, scientific affairs or related fields, with dairy industry preferred.
• Deep knowledge of PMO, CFR (including LACF), and dairy product processing/ labeling/ claims/ regulatory compliance.
• Proven advocacy impact at national (FDA/USDA) and state levels.
• Strong understanding of legislative regulatory processes and political landscape for dairy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory/scientific issues into practical guidance and executive briefs.

Aufgaben

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with federal/state government officials, policymakers, regulatory bodies, industry associations, academia, and advocacy groups.
• Monitor and analyze federal/state regulatory developments; provide timely recommendations to senior leadership.
• Develop and lead advocacy strategies on dairy regulatory issues including nutrition, safety, labeling, and claims.
• Provide technical expertise and influence on regulatory priorities with organizations like IDFA, NCIMS, NADRO, IDF, CODEX.
• Collaborate with dairy trade associations to develop positions and comments on regulatory priorities.
• Work cross-functionally with regulatory operations, quality, legal, brand marketing, and public affairs to execute dairy regulatory strategy.
