The position is on the second shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) in Ithaca, NY, with duties including data entry, machine operation, testing, and regulatory compliance. High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant lab experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED required OR substantial prior laboratory experience.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Ability to perform data entry and operate lab equipment on second shift.

Responsibilities

• 30% Sorting and Data Entry: retrieve and sort samples, enter producer numbers and data.
• 25% Machine Operation: operate milk testing equipment, calibrate/maintain machines.
• 25% Testing: perform standard milk tests for fat, protein, lactose, SCC, bacteria and related parameters.
• 10% Compliance: assist in training, lab inspections, proper record keeping and deviations reporting.
• 10% Customer Service: interact with customers and field staff as needed.
