Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Production Operator to perform varied line duties in a dairy manufacturing setting. You will operate and monitor equipment, support sanitation, and work with teammates to meet quality and throughput targets.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in dairy or consumer goods. Some certifications may be required; strong math, record-keeping, and English communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment including skilled processing, machine operation, and break relief operator roles.
• Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughput.
• Assist with training efforts in the functional area as needed.
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications in hard copy and electronic format.
• Engage in problem solving to improve production, safety, quality, and yields.
• Ensure operational efficiencies by positioning work, setting up jobs, and adjusting and operating equipment.
• Perform quality monitoring of statistical information and report variations to supervisor and lab.
• Inspect and identify issues and perform preventative maintenance when needed.
• Report food safety and quality issues to management promptly.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.
