Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Continuous Improvement Process Specialist in Luxemburg, WI, to improve operating efficiencies in cheese and whey production. You will troubleshoot machines and processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions within a collaborative team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field, plus minimum dairy processing experience, with strong knowledge of cheese make and membrane systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify problem areas or areas for improvement in production; determine a course of action; help implement improvement and corrective actions in these areas.
• Obtain and maintain knowledge of cheese make, cheese conversion, whey and permeate processes as assigned.
• Collaborate with internal and external personnel to develop systems and procedures for new unit operations in whey/dairy production.
• Perform statistical analysis of laboratory and process data to identify trends and predictions.
• Develop and write Standard Operating Procedures for production and cleaning processes.
• Work with plant, corporate and client personnel to resolve day-to-day production tasks/needs.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance policies and report food safety issues.
• Coordinate with sales regarding product disposition and support customer needs and production trials.
• May work with ERP (SAP, MES, AOS) for disposition and formulation updates.
• Lead AOS activities like centerline and CIL management, loss tree, 90-day plan.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering
