Job summary

Ornua is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the cleanup and sanitation of a dairy production facility in Kentucky. You will train crews, ensure compliance with HACCP and safety programs, and coordinate with Hydrite Chemicals to apply current sanitation methods.

You will document audits, maintain records, and collaborate with QA and maintenance to uphold food-safety standards in a temperature-varied production environment. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Education or higher.
• Ability to Speak, Write and read in English.
• 5+ Years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing, ideally dairy-related environment. 3+ years’ experience supervising and managing a sanitation crew.
• Understands chemical application and chemistry of cleaning and sanitation chemicals.
• Mechanical ability and familiar with tool use for equipment disassembly and reassembly.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily pre-cleaning, cleaning and sanitizing of facility and equipment following SOPs.
• Oversees disassembly, cleaning and sanitation to ensure a food-safe environment.
• Documents nightly audits of the Master Sanitation Plan.
• Maintains HACCP records in conjunction with Hydrite Chemicals.
• Maintains Master Sanitation Schedule and updates SOPs.
• Trains new employees and annual staff on sanitation practices.
• Ensures chemicals are stored securely as part of Bio-Security.
• Coordinates with maintenance on deviations noted during sanitation.
• Collaborates with QA on corrective/preventive actions from microbial testing.
• Keeps up-to-date with food manufacturing sanitation standards (WDA/FDA/USDA/HACCP).
