Job summary

Ornua is seeking a Packaging Associate (1st Shift) in Hilbert, Wisconsin to support production in a busy dairy facility. You will assist across multiple packaging stations, set up the stacking area, and ensure accurate weighing, boxing, and palletizing of cheese products.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean, safe work areas, following GMP/HACCP, and adhering to safety procedures. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a temperature-variable food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
• Stand/walk for 10 consecutive hours.
• Willingness to work in a food manufacturing environment with variable temperatures.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to use hands to grasp, grip and manipulate boxes or product.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill in multiple areas as needed.
• Set up the stacking area at the start of the shift.
• Stack cases on pallets per pattern for finished goods boxes.
• Open barrels, blocks, or bags of cheese and ingredients.
• Ensure recycling and garbage are emptied to keep production smooth.
• Weigh ingredients per batch sheets.
• Cut and trim ingredients to correct weights.
• Box cheese, tape and box.
• Stack packed cheese on pallets.
• Transfer ingredients from the scale to pickup tables.
• Load cheese into grinders (heavy lifting).
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
• Consistent attendance and performance.
• Adhere to all procedures; follow safety, GMP, HACCP.
