Mollie Stone’s Markets in San Francisco is seeking a Full-Time Dairy Manager for the Grand Central location. You will ensure daily dairy operations, including receiving, stocking, rotation, merchandising, and customer service, while upholding food safety standards.

The role may act as Dairy Manager or support staff, with duties including supervising team members, managing inventory, and maintaining a well‑presented department that meets regulatory requirements.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in grocery retail, dairy, or refrigerated operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in cold environments.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good math, reading and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain organized, fully stocked dairy cases with FIFO rotation.
• Receive and inspect dairy deliveries; report quality issues promptly.
• Monitor and log temperatures for refrigerated products.
• Keep the department clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Assist customers and handle special orders with professionalism.
• Identify expired or non-compliant items and follow disposal procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and report maintenance needs.
• Support inventory counts, shrink control, and recordkeeping.
• Supervise and train team members to build a high-performing unit.

About the Role:

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full-Time Dairy Manager at our Grand Central location in San Francisco. The perfect candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective daily operations of the dairy department, including product receiving, stocking, rotation, merchandising, cleanliness, and customer service. This role supports overall store excellence by maintaining product quality, adhering to food safety standards, and creating an organized, well‑presented department that meets company and regulatory requirements. The position may function as a department lead (Dairy Manager) or support staff (Grocery/ Clerk), depending on store needs.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain full and organized dairy cases throughout the day, ensuring shelves are properly stocked, faced, and rotated using first‑in, first‑out (FIFO) principles.
• Receive, inspect, and verify accuracy of dairy deliveries, report discrepancies or quality issues promptly.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of refrigerated products, including monitoring and documenting temperature logs as required.
• Maintain department cleanliness, including cases, storage coolers, display equipment, and work areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, special orders, and general service needs in a friendly and professional manner.
• Identify and pull expired, damaged, or non‑compliant products; follow company disposal and documentation procedures.
• Operate equipment safely (pallet jacks, dollies, case cutters, pricing tools, etc.) and report maintenance needs.
• Support inventory management through regular counts, shrink control, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Comply with all store policies, food safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Set and achieve the highest standards.
• Supervise, schedule and assign duties to the Team Members.
• Provide our customers with exceptional customer service.
• Interview, train, develop all Team Members in a manner which builds and sustains a high performing team and minimizes turnover.
• Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale.
• Manage inventory and pricing to achieve required margin and labor targets.
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in grocery retail, dairy, or refrigerated department operations (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand/walk for extended periods, and tolerate cold working environments.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent exposure to cold temperatures in refrigerated cases and coolers.
• Ability to operate manual equipment (pallet jack, dolly, box cutter).

Pay Scale:

$28-30.66/hour
