Job Description
Plan, organize, train, and direct Grocery Clerks; perform production and customer service functions; maximize store sales and profits. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
Responsibilities
- Organize work, train, and schedule associates to provide prompt courteous service.
- Respond appropriately to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions with tact, professionalism, and calmness.
- Manage ordering of merchandise and supplies using Computer Assisted Ordering; ensure proper accounting of received products and inventory levels.
- Price and display merchandise, maintain signage, ensure product rotation, freshness, and quality.
- Counsel and engage with associates on merchandising, customer service, and promotional activities.
- Implement company programs, policies, and maintain a harassment/discrimination-free work environment.
- Contribute to department budgets, goals, and results to maximize sales and profits.
- Communicate effectively with associates and customers to foster a positive environment.
- Maintain equipment and facilities according to safety and company standards.
- Keep the sales floor, shelves, and displays clean and sanitary.
- Update department temperature logs accurately across shifts.
- Assist with inventories, store resets, remodels, and merchandising promotions.
- Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
