Join us as our new Dairy Ingredient Application Scientist
We are creating a dedicated Dairy Ingredient Team, building on our experience in Enzymes and Dairy. To support this initiative, we are seeking a qualified candidate for a permanent position.

The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, total nitrogen analysis, degree of hydrolysis, and other techniques), conducting laboratory experiments, and supporting our biosolutions portfolio (including cultures and enzymes) both at customer sites and within our facilities. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for dairy ingredients, such as those used in infant milk formula and sports nutrition. Close collaboration with our counterparts in Denmark and the R&D team will be essential to success in this role.

You will be part of a department of 60 competent and passionate colleagues of scientists and laboratory technicians. Dairy is at the core of our strategy. The Team plays a critical role creating value for customers by combining the best enzymes, the best cultures and the appropriate Customer Dairy process adjustments.


In This Role You'll Make An Impact By:

  • Supporting the implementation of different biochemical methods e.g. HPLC, ion chromatography and microfluidic electrophoresis technology (LabChip).

  • Planning, executing, and reporting on trials conducted at customer plants or within our own facilities.

  • Interacting with Sales teams

  • Providing the technical support (sales and customers) for Dairy Ingredients

  • Collaborating closely with all colleagues in the Team

  • Preparing clear and concise technical reports to document findings and recommendations.

  • Formulating strategies for the future in relation to your focus area

  • Collaborating closely with Global Marketing & Business Development to develop, document existing concepts/solutions on the technical side

Potentially relevant experience:

  • Master's degree (with 3+ years of experience) or PhD in a scientific discipline such as Food Science, Biochemistry, or Chemistry

  • Proven experience in analytical and chromatography method development

  • Proficient in optimizing, troubleshooting, and developing laboratory methods and workflows

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Technical communications in English (written form and oral)

  • Flexible, positive, and collaborative attitude with a strong ability to work in teams

  • Quality oriented with a structured way of working

  • Multitasking skills

  • Resilient and resourceful with a proactive problem-solving attitude

  • Open-minded and willing to travel to visit customers and external partners when needed
