Meijer Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Food Clerk who will deliver friendly service with product knowledge across Fresh departments, creating a welcoming store experience for customers.

You will build connections, share knowledge, maintain displays, stock and merchandise according to standards, use technology for tasks, and follow food safety procedures. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

We are committed to offering competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization.

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.

$15.25 - $16.98
