Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a Dairy & Freezer Clerk to sustain the dairy and freezer sections with proper stocking, rotation, and product integrity. You will support merchandising, inventory control, and adhere to food safety standards while serving Members with excellent service.

The role emphasizes maintaining department organization, timely replenishment, and collaboration with the team to ensure a premium shopping experience and compliance with all club policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management and food safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock all dairy and freezer products according to planograms to maintain visual standards.
• Maintain cold chain and in-stock accuracy to ensure freshness and availability.
• Apply FIFO rotation to reduce waste and maintain product quality.
• Regularly inspect expiration dates and condition of items for safety.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning of coolers and shelving.
• Monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment to keep the department full.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing to avoid member confusion and aid checkout.
• Support seasonal merchandising and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
