Job summary

Model Dairy LLC is seeking a shift operator to support dairy production and quality systems. You will inspect and sanitize machines, taste and test product temperatures, start machines, and monitor operation to detect malfunctions.

The role also includes assisting in cottage cheese cooking, setting sour cream, and maintaining FIFO inventory. Responsibilities include recording lot numbers, performing minor repairs, and ensuring proper packaging weights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher.
• Ability to work a swing shift.
• Data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sanitize machine at the start of shift.
• Taste and check temperature of product.
• Start machine and observe operation to detect malfunctions of machine.
• Assist in cooking cottage cheese.
• Set sour cream.
• Stop machine and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Keep records of lot numbers for cartons, lids, buckets and ingredients.
• Perform minor adjustments or repairs on machines or equipment.
• Inspect filled containers for proper weight and packaging.
• Feed product to conveyors and unload packaged product.
• Replenish packaging supplies.
• Maintain machine setup and positioning.
• Rinse, disassemble, and clean machines and vats; perform CIP.
• Stir or mix product as required.
• Keep warehouses organized and clean.
• Rotate product using FIFO.
• Handle chemicals safely.
• Maintain correct code dates and weights.
• Enter data in EMRS and spreadsheets.
