Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ months experience in manufacturing, dairy or related field preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to communicate when necessary to complete duties.
• Ability to work in a cold and wet environment for prolonged periods.
• Must work in various temperature-controlled zones from cold to hot.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and report mechanical defects.
• Flexible to evening, night, weekends and holidays.
• Regularly reach up to 77 inches.

Responsibilities

• Clean, set up, operate and monitor the production line equipment.
• Operate ingredients distribution feeder.
• Complete scheduled quality checks.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps and packaging quality.
• Adjust filler timing and filling as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic to moderate operating issues.
• Ensure proper packaging materials for each product.
• Perform filler and line changeovers.
• Complete cleaning checklist after each run.
• Prepare equipment for next run and size changes as needed.
• Communicate with other departments about issues affecting efficiency.
• Analyze process data to improve quality and throughput.
• Ensure food safety and QA standards are followed.
