Job summary

AgSource seeks a Dairy Field Technician to cover Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca, Outagamie and Brown Counties in Northeast Wisconsin. The role involves daily travel to dairy farms to collect data and milk samples, record test day information on tablets, and set up meters before testing.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of service-industry experience preferred, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Travel and safety are core aspects of the job.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 years' experience in a service business desirable and dairy farming understanding preferred.
  • Self-motivated and dependable with willingness to develop professionally.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team; good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation; mileage reimbursed; ability to lift >50 lbs; long periods on feet.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data and milk sample collection services on dairy farms safely and professionally.
  • Record test day information electronically on tablets, laptops.
  • Transport and set up milk sample meters at the dairy farm before testing.
  • Identify and store sample bottles correctly to preserve identities.
  • Clean equipment after testing and transfer records via proprietary software.
  • Perform business practices in line with AgSource policies and guidelines.
  • Promote safety in the workplace.
