DAIRY/DEPT LEADER (Finance)

  • Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products and using product knowledge to make suggestions.
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
  • Inform customers of dairy specials.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
  • Understand the store's layout and locate products efficiently.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Inform and educate associates about current, upcoming, and special in-store promotions, especially those affecting the Dairy department.
  • Prepare and submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
  • Implement the promotional plan for the department.
  • Assist management in preparing budgets, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate actions on financial reports.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
  • Organize inventory processes, note discrepancies, and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers with maintained logs.
  • Reinforce safety programs, conduct equipment inspections, and report unsafe conditions or repairs needed.
  • Report customer or employee accidents and any safety risks or illegal activities.
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments, manage conflicts professionally, and act with honesty and integrity.
  • Follow directions, seek assistance when needed, and support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
