Job summary

ShopRite of Carteret in New Jersey is seeking a Dairy Clerk to deliver a great customer experience through pricing, stocking, and rotating dairy merchandise. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean department, unloading deliveries, and assisting the Dairy Manager.

Requirements include English proficiency, basic math skills, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work in varying temperatures while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and with dairy products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment in the Dairy Department.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Price, stock, and rotate merchandise; ensure accurate labeling.
• Assist Dairy Manager and provide prompt customer service.
• Greet customers and offer help; handle transactions as needed.
• Keep product displays stocked and signed to stimulate sales.
• Unload and store deliveries in refrigerated areas safely.
• Adhere to company policies and health/safety regulations.
