Job summary

ShopRite in Bernardsville, NJ is seeking a Dairy Clerk to deliver a great customer experience while pricing, stocking and rotating dairy merchandise. The role supports the Dairy Department and requires attentiveness to safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting the Dairy Manager, and ensuring accurate signage, stock levels, and proper handling of products in refrigerated areas.

Qualifications

• The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Must read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Price items accurately and legibly using approved price marking devices.
• Fully stock and rotate all Dairy merchandise in displays and cases.
• Assist Dairy Manager as needed.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Unload deliveries and process receiving according to guidelines.
• Adhere to QA and safety standards and company policies.
