Job summary

Chester Community Charter School (CCCS) seeks substitute teachers for both elementary and middle grades. The role offers day-by-day scheduling based on call-outs, with autonomy to select working days.

Instructors will not be responsible for creating lesson plans or grading work, but must provide effective classroom instruction and maintain a conducive learning environment. Compensation is $150/day for Elementary and $175/day for Middle School.

Qualifications

Middle School - $175 Per Day

Elementary - $150 Per Day

Job Summary

Instructs students in their learning and controls the class room environment in the absence of the regular teacher. The daily substitute role does not have a set schedule and has the autonomy to select the days they would like to work based on scheduled call outs for those days. This position is not responsible for creating lesson plans or grading assignments. The compensation for this role is $150/day.

Essential Functions

• Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans
• Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
• Maintains a safe and orderly environment
• Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned
• Maintains a professional appearance as an example to students
• Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by building principal
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility
• Communicates effectively with building leadership
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated
• Performs other related duties as assigned
