Qualifications

• HS Diploma from an accredited institution and must obtain Educational Aide Certification
• Educational Aide Certification required to be obtained
• Two years of college coursework (48 hours) and must obtain Educational Aide Certification

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests or assignments
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom
• Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned
• Assist in the classroom or other offices when needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
