Job summary

Rand Group is seeking a seasoned Dynamics 365 Business Central leader to guide client engagements from discovery to deployment. You will define solution design, mentor consultants, and act as a trusted advisor for optimizing finance and operations processes using BC.

The role emphasizes leading cross-functional ERP projects, driving best practices, and growing the practice through client success and recurring engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 BC.
• Proven track record leading functional ERP consulting engagements.
• Strong knowledge of finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead D365 BC implementations across discovery, requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Serve as the functional lead for core business processes including finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, and related workflows.
• Translate client requirements into scalable BC solutions and best practices that improve efficiency and reporting.
• Manage multiple client engagements, scopes, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources to ensure delivery.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for long-term partnership growth.
• Oversee QA for configuration, documentation, testing, training, and deployment activities.
• Coach and develop consultants, support performance management and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with leadership on practice development and standards.

• Manage multiple client engagements, project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and identify opportunities for additional services and long-term partnership growth
• Review deliverables and oversee quality assurance for configuration, documentation, testing, training, and deployment activities
• Coach, mentor, and develop consultants while supporting performance management, team utilization, and knowledge sharing across the practice
• Partner with leadership on practice development, delivery standards, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Serve as an escalation point for complex functional issues and help drive resolution with clients and internal teams

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or a comparable mid-market ERP solution
• Proven experience leading functional ERP consulting engagements, including solution design, client workshops, testing, training, and deployment
• Strong knowledge of business processes across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, and distribution; manufacturing experience is a plus
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, priorities, and client stakeholders in a consulting environment
• Experience mentoring consultants and contributing to team development, resource planning, and delivery excellence
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or a related field
• Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions
• Working knowledge of reporting, data migration, testing processes, and ERP implementation methodology
