Job summary

Primient in Dayton, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on rotating D shifts to safely operate, troubleshoot, and maintain a plant producing food and industrial ingredients. You will participate in a knowledge-based pay structure with a base hourly rate and a D-shift retention bonus.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with pumps and gearboxes, welding and pipe fabrication, and strong safety practices in a 24/7 environment. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in chemical/industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with installation and alignment of pumps, motors and gearboxes.
• Experience rebuilding industrial pumps, compressors and gearboxes.
• Safety-focused and able to work in a 365/24/7 plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties following safety procedures.
• Install machinery and equipment with hoists and hand/power tools.
• Dismantle/move machines and equipment as needed.
• Align machines precisely using precision tools.
• Repair and inspect industrial equipment; perform lubrication.
• Maintain piping and plumbing systems; weld/braze as required.
• Operate forklift, boom lift and related moving equipment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
