Job summary

G-TECH Services LLC is seeking a D&R Engineer – Body & Exterior Systems to design, develop, validate, and release automotive body components for vehicle programs. You will collaborate with Design Studio, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Program Management to meet cost, weight, performance, timing, and regulatory requirements.

The role involves leading design and release activities, managing product development from concept to production, and maintaining engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive Design & Release (D&R) engineering experience.
• Experience with automotive body or exterior systems/components.
• Hands-on experience with: Teamcenter, AVBOM / FEDE BOM, WERS, CAD Design.
• Experience supporting component design, validation, testing, and production release.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and release activities for body and exterior components such as fixed glass, wipers, spoilers, roof rails, badges, running boards, appliques, and related systems.
• Manage product development from concept through launch and production support.
• Develop and maintain engineering deliverables including ESOW, Engineering Concepts, BOMs, and WERS releases.
• Support sourcing activities, supplier engagement, design reviews, and engineering change management.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, manufacturing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate validation, durability testing, prototype development, and product sign-off activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design, manufacturing, and quality concerns using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers, assembly plants, and global engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
