RSI is seeking a D&D Sampling Technician to support environmental data collection and characterization efforts. You will work primarily in the field with occasional office tasks, handling materials like concrete, steel, soils, liquids, asbestos, and radiological residues.
The role requires mobility to project sites and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include field documentation, equipment calibration, and supporting waste disposition and facility characterization activities

The D&D Sampling Technician provides support to environmental and structural characterization sample collection and office activities in the acquisition of environmental data. This position will require support to various waste disposition and facility characterization efforts to support waste management disposition alternatives. This could include, but is not limited to working in various active and inactive facilities utilizing power and hand tools for the collection and documentation of structural materials such as concrete, structural steel, wood, various liquids, system piping and equipment, asbestos, paint, drums, filters, various radiological materials, residues, soil, sediment, and other legacy materials, and inspections. Much of the work will be performed in facilities with radiological, chemical (e.g. beryllium, mercury), and other standard industrial hazards. Additional activities include but are not limited to: field procedure compliance, field equipment calibration, field documentation (logbooks, forms, etc.).
This position requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or identification card; or a U.S. passport as long as it clearly displays issuance date, expiration date, and color photo image. This is a mandatory requirement necessary for access to company facilities and/or for travel purposes. REAL ID-compliant driver’s licenses are identifiable by a gold star in the upper right corner.
