Position Overview:
Prepares and examines samples for evidence of pathological conditions, following established standards and practices. Receives specimens sent to the laboratory and plans the method of specimen processing. Assists physicians with fine needle aspirations. Reports and maintains patient test results in an accurate and timely manner. Stains, coverslips slides, and microscopically examines specimens. Presents slides to Pathologist for examination. Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed. Maintains good relations with all staff and clients that use cytology services.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science-related field, completion of a cytology program, and at least 1 year of experience in cytotechnology, including experience on both GYN and Non-GYN diagnostics. Ability to diagnose and report cytology cases accurately. Certified by ASCP (CT).
