Job summary

Sheridan Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cytotechnologist to manage the cytology service workflow, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. You will process specimens, perform microscopic examinations, and prepare diagnostic reports in collaboration with pathologists.

The role requires ASCP CT certification and 3+ years of cytotechnology experience, with opportunities for professional growth within a patient-centered lab team.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a CAAHEP-accredited cytotechnology program.
• Meets federal CLIA requirements for cytotechnologists.
• At least 3 years of full-time cytotechnologist experience in the preceding 10 years.
• ASCP Cytology - CT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the cytology workflow and ensure regulatory and quality standards.
• Process and accession all specimens; perform microscopic examination of gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples.
• Prepare written cytopathologic reports and relate cytomorphologic changes to clinical data.
• Maintain quality control and documentation; collaborate with pathologists and staff.
• Support performance improvement activities and ensure patient safety in cytology services.
