Job summary

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Biotechnology Group, is seeking a Cytotechnologist to perform specialized microscopic evaluations of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, providing interpretations to Supervisory cytotechnologist and pathologists. The role requires ASCP Board Certification and a Bachelor’s degree in related science, with 0-2+ years experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related science.
0-2+ years related experience.
ASCP Board Certification.
Experience with Thin-Prep Imaging System; Review Scope a plus.

Responsibilities

Performs microscopic evaluation of cellular samples and provides cytology interpretations.
Correlates findings with supervisory cytotechnologist and pathologists.
Records specimen and results data accurately.
Ensures turnaround times meet laboratory expectations.
Maintains safety and proper use of cytology equipment.
Prepares quality slides from cytological samples.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Maintains patient privacy at all times.
Works as a team member and is accountable for own work.
Delivers information in a supportive, timely, understandable manner.
Demonstrates initiative to diagnose and resolve problems.
Displays productive work habits and ensures accuracy and quality.
