Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a Cytopathologist to join the PAGNY team at South Brooklyn Health. The physician will sign out general anatomic pathology cases, supervise cytotechnologists, and ensure QA/QC for Cytology while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include ROSE, ultrasound-guided FNA, education for fellows and residents, and participation in tumor boards. A strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate and NYIT is noted.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Completion of a Cytopathology Fellowship is required.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out general anatomic pathology cases, including surgical pathology and both GYN and non-Gyn Cytology.
• Supervise cytotechnologists and ensure QA/QC for Cytology.
• Maintain cytology statistics, SOPs, and regulatory compliance.
