Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a PRN lab support member to assist the anatomic pathology lab in Cleveland. The role includes accessioning specimens, processing samples, triaging within the department, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

The position requires adherence to PHI handling policies and institutional codes of conduct as part of daily duties in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Accessions specimens for cytology and/or surgical pathology.
• Performs specimen processing for further workup in the anatomic pathology laboratory.
• Triages specimens within the department.
• Maintains equipment, re-stocks supplies and reagents.
• Recognition and preliminary resolution of problem cases.
• Performs miscellaneous maintenance tasks within the department.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients; annual training and UH policies apply.
