GhostRx Inc. is seeking a Cytopreparation Technician to support the Cytology section at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN. You will prepare gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens to support accurate diagnoses for Veterans.

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, 1 year cytopreparation or related experience, and ability to read/write English. ASCP/AMT credentials are a plus; federal background checks are required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred in a biological or laboratory science.
• ASCP or AMT credentials are a plus.
• Experience in cytopreparation or related pathology processing within the last 3 years.

Aufgaben

• Receive, accession, and verify cytology specimens including body fluids and FNAs.
• Prepare slides and perform various staining methods.
• Ensure slide quality and accurate labeling before distribution.
• Assist with FNA procedures and ROSE.
• Perform daily quality control and routine maintenance.
• Maintain specimen storage per CAP and CLIA requirements.
• Follow safety protocols and HIPAA rules.
