Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of cytology processing experience preferred, minimum of one year required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and interpret basic technical procedures.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (microscopes, analyzers, centrifuges, pipettes).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment proficiency screening and color discrimination test.
• Ongoing education per state licensure/ASCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Cytoprep technicians, prioritize daily workload, and manage QC and inventory.
• Identify and refer unusual specimens accurately.
• Assist Cytoprep staff in selection of preparatory techniques and problem resolution.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
