Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a science field preferred.
• One year hospital lab experience preferred; knowledge of laboratory terminology beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle specimen workflows including registration, accessioning, processing, slide staining, cover glassing and case distribution.
• Perform duties such as file management, communications, reagent documentation, routine equipment maintenance and quality control activities.
• Maintain supply inventory and process requests to support daily lab operations.
• Communicate with laboratory staff, pathologists and physicians to resolve specimen/order quality issues.
