Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Proficiency in patient registration, specimen handling, medical terminology and LIS/LIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Specimen Processing: register tests, verify patient data, ensure timely handling, resolve processing issues.
• Equipment: operate and maintain lab equipment, document temperatures, assist with maintenance.
• Inventory Management: monitor supplies, check expirations, keep areas organized.
• System Utilization: use HIS and LIS applications for job-related tasks.
• Training and Education: assist with training and complete continuing education.
• Safety: follow PPE protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
• Document Control: follow approved SOPs and procedures.
