Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson is seeking a production associate to set up and operate the manufacturing process per WorkInstructions, adjusting reactants and equipment to achieve target flow, temperature, and pressure. You will support filling, inventory records, and routine maintenance to keep operations safe and compliant.

The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to perform moderate mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and/or operates manufacturing process in accord with published WorkInstructions.
• Changes reactants, operates valves, controls, and related items to obtain specified flow rates, temperatures and pressures.
• Fills finished product into cylinders or correlates filling with the Gas Filling Department.
• Performs general, preventative maintenance on gas or chemical manufacturing equipment.
• Notifies supervisor when maintenance of equipment requires greater expertise than he/she possesses.

SAFETY

Keepsworking area clean and orderly, follows all company procedures and safetypolicies. Inspects manufacturing equipment on a daily basis to ensure thesafe operation of the chemical process. Keeps leak detection equipment, ifrequired, in good working order.

PRODUCTION

Sets up and/or operates manufacturing process in accord with published WorkInstructions. Changes reactants, operates valves, controls, and relateditems to obtain specified flow rates, temperatures and pressures. Fillsfinished product into cylinders or correlates filling with the Gas FillingDepartment. Performs general, preventative maintenance on gas or chemicalmanufacturing equipment. Notifies supervisor when maintenance of equipmentrequires greater expertise than he/she possesses. Recommends process andequipment changes as needed. Maintains daily inventory production records.Controls inventory of raw material. Performs all other tasks as assigned bylocal plant management.

QUALITY

Adheres to all quality assurance policies and standards. Recommends processchanges to improve the quality/purity of the products manufactured. Performsscale and instrument calibration checks as required by Matheson's qualitysystem. Maintains run charts for performance of scales. Notifies Supervisor ofquality assurance problems

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to perform mathematicalexercises of moderate complexity.

Pay range - $23- $24/hr.
