Job summary

Dover Hydraulics, a SunSource company, is seeking a Cylinder Shop Manager in Dover, OH to plan and oversee schedules for hydraulic cylinder repairs and lead the workforce toward on-time delivery. You will coordinate with machine shop, pump shop, purchasing, and other departments to optimize lead times and ensure quality repair in a safe environment.

Responsibilities include developing master schedules from inquiry to ship, communicating with customers, and guiding budget-driven resource planning

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage a workforce.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience developing and tracking budgets for repair operations.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Knowledge of hydraulic repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Plans and completes master schedule for Hydraulic Cylinder Repairs from inquiry to ship.
• Updates customers via preferred communication channels (email, phone, in person).
• Analyzes repair specifications to determine material, tools, and labor requirements for the schedule.
• Plans workflow for each craft according to client sequences and lead times.
• Collaborates with other managers to establish and finalize the schedule.
• Expedites operations to meet delays and adapt to unforeseen conditions.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to produce production reports.
• May prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment.
• Supervises the workforce to meet schedule, procedures, and safety standards.
• Ensures due dates and delivery schedules are met.
• Monitors machinery condition and necessary maintenance/repairs.
• Monitors safe work practices and trains employees.
