Job summary

VIVA USA Inc is seeking a Loader in Nashville to unload empty cylinders from delivery trucks, prepare them for loading, and fill high pressure cylinders following safety procedures. The position requires regular lifting and standing, with responsibilities spanning inventory, housekeeping, and assisting customers as needed at the facility in Nashville.

Responsibilities

• Load delivery trucks nightly.
• Unload empty cylinders from the delivery truck and prepare for reloading.
• Fill high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical and Mixes) following compression temperature / pressure method.
• Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
• Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
• Ensure cylinders are adequately maintained.
• Cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.
• Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gages and monitoring devices.
• Fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight, whichever is appropriate.
• Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Assist with inventory, general housekeeping, and help customers when necessary.

Job description

As a Loader, you will unload empty cylinders from delivery trucks and move them to fill racks and/or cylinder storage areas, and load trucks for delivery.

In particular, you will:

• Load delivery trucks nightly.
• Unload empty cylinders from the delivery truck and prepare for reloading.
• You will be filling high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical and Mixes) following compression temperature / pressure method.
• Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
• Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
• Ensure cylinders are adequately maintained

Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.

• Ability to perform very heavy work routinely lifts 25-75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.
• Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
