What You’ll Do

This is an On-Site Full-Time Hourly Employment in the Cylinder Head Department. The position involves disassembling, tearing down, cleaning, and preparing cylinder heads. This role has a direct impact on the success of the company.

Job Duties

• Disassemble cylinder heads
• Clean, sandblast, and prepare cylinder heads for assembly
• Inspect Cylinder Head components
• Teardown and prepare cylinder heads for assembly
• All other duties as assigned
• Complete visual inspections via in-process steps
• Work with a team to meet daily production requirements and stringent delivery schedules
• Read and interpret work instructions
• Follow and adhere to safety personal protective equipment, safety protocols, and ensure a clean and organized workspace
• Assist or support with training as needed
• Represents the company in a professional manner

Qualifications

• Self‑motivated and proactive in completing tasks, seeking out solutions to problems encountered
• Positive attitude towards coworkers, customers, and vendors, able to collaborate and work as a team
• Eye for detail and maintain a clean, highly organized work environment
• Mechanically inclined with experience in fabrication, manufacturing engine or automobile parts (plus)
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and precision work
• Flexible regarding overtime or shift adjustments to meet business needs
• Strong desire to be part of a rapidly changing organization

The Job Scene

• This position operates in a fabrication environment with exposure to machine shop fumes, high-pitched noise, and metal particulates
• Work is indoors in a controlled temperature environment; however, exposure to different temperatures, oils, and chemicals may occur

What It Takes

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by department or job function
• Stand or move around for extended periods up to 8 hours a day
• Work with automotive grease and oils and get hands dirty
• Lift 50 lbs and maneuver for extended periods of time
• Exceptional hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills for up to 8 hours per day
• No difficulty with bending, reaching, or working in confined spaces
• Hear and respond to machinery sounds or safety alarms in a loud environment
