Job description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on vehicles, shipping and receiving of cylinders, cylinder staging, and limited customer service. It includes moving cylinders to designated destinations and ensuring the accuracy and safety of the product. The role reports to the Site or Operations Manager/Supervisor and involves interaction with customers, sales, management, and other operations personnel.

Position Accountabilities:

1. Loading and Unloading: Responsible for loading and unloading cylinders on assigned trucks or designated areas, including checking identification, labels, valves, styles, and determining if cylinders need filling, painting, or have marks. Follow procedures to ensure safe storage.
2. Securing Loads: Ensure all loads are secure prior to delivery by checking strapping, cylinder placement, correct loading, and proper tagging.
3. Material Handling: Handle cylinders manually and with equipment such as dollies, carts, and forklifts, transporting vehicles and cylinders across dock locations as needed.
4. Housekeeping: Maintain safety and appearance standards through regular housekeeping duties.
5. Quality and Safety: Notify supervisors of quality assurance issues and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
6. Other Duties: Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
