Job summary

SAIC is seeking experienced Cycling Exercise instructors to lead a group fitness class Monday mornings from 6 am to 7 am at a customer site in Chantilly, VA. Instructors may have additional sub opportunities with 1–5 hours per week and must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred candidates will have cycling teaching experience and current certification in one of NASM, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NSCA, plus CPR certification. Salary target: up to $40,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience; Master's degree and 1 year related experience.
• Experience teaching cycling or other fitness classes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group cycling/instructor classes; ensure safe and engaging workouts for participants.
• Educate participants on proper form and modifications for various fitness levels.
• Maintain studio space, greet members, and track class metrics and time worked.

SAIC is seeking experienced certified Cycling Exercise instructors to lead a group fitness class Monday mornings from 6 am to 7 am as well as other sub opportunities. Instructors will inspire physical fitness for Intelligence Community Professionals at a customer site in Chantilly, VA. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred candidate will have experience teaching Cycling classes as well as other fitness classes. Candidates should note that this position is up to 1-5 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.
• Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class.
• Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment for all in fitness classes.
• Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
• Cleans and organizes studio space before/after each Group Fitness class, record class metrics, and time worked.

Qualifications

Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience. More years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

License/Certification (required)

• CPR Certification.
• Certification to teach 2 or more of the preferred exercise classes.
• Nationally accredited certification required in personal training and/or group fitness. Acceptable certification include: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American FitnessAerobic Association (AFAA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
