Job summary

SAIC is seeking experienced certified Group Exercise instructors to lead group fitness classes at a customer site in Aurora, CO. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and may teach a variety of formats such as strength training, cycling, HIIT, yoga, and Pilates.

The position is up to 1-5 hours per week. Responsibilities include leading classes, ensuring safety, educating participants on proper form, and maintaining a welcoming, engaging atmosphere for all participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years related experience (Master's +1 year acceptable).
• CPR certification required and certification to teach 2+ exercise classes.
• Nationally accredited certification in personal training or group fitness (NASM/ACE/AFAA/ACSM/NSCA).

Responsibilities

• Lead aerobic group fitness classes for a diverse client base.
• Ensure safety and proper form during all exercises and adapt as needed.
• Educate participants on correct technique and modifications.
• Maintain clean, organized studio space before/after classes and track class metrics.

Description

SAIC is seeking experienced certified Group Exercise instructors to lead group fitness classes. Instructors will inspire physical fitness for Intelligence Community Professionals at a customer site in Aurora, CO. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred candidate will have experience teaching a variety of fitness levels and formats such as strength training, cycling, HIIT, yoga, Pilates. Candidates should note that this position is up to 1-5 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.
• Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class.
• Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment for all in fitness classes.
• Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
• Cleans and organizes studio space before/after each Group Fitness class, record class metrics, and time worked.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience.

License/Certification (required)

• CPR Certification.
• Certification to teach 2 or more of the preferred exercise classes.
• Nationally accredited certification required in personal training and/or group fitness. Acceptable certification include National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Target salary range Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
