Job Summary for Material Handlers:

Performs daily cycle counting duties to ensure all inventory is accurately counted and recorded. Investigates discrepancies to ensure all materials are properly verified and performs inspection duties on materials received.

Responsibilities of Cycle Counter:

• Daily Cycle Counts: Performs scheduled cycle counts of inventory items in designated area.
• Investigate Discrepancies: Research any discrepancies found during daily cycle counts.
• Inventory Adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to inventory counts within the system.
• Assist in identifying areas for process improvement to improve inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
• Performs cycle counting daily as needed from the Production Floor Supervisors.
• Operates material handling equipment to move skids to and from work areas.
• Maintains effective working relationships with other associates.
• Performs duties in a safe manner, using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
• Demonstrates flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments.
• All other duties as required.

Qualifications of Material Handlers:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education
• At least 18 years of age
• Previous experience as a CDL driver preferred
• Three months or equivalent experience in inventory control
• Understanding of materials flow preferred; computer knowledge helpful
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification
• Ability to effectively use various material handling equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. continuously and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Must perform job with a high level of accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills
