Job Title: Cycle Counter/Inventory Specialist

Position Classification: Hourly

Job Summary :This position is responsible for monitoring inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Works with appropriate personnel ensuring and supporting the overall control of inventory transactions.
  • Manages the inventory control function of the location by generation cycle count and providing accurate and effective execution of cycle counting system.
  • Provides accurate data with timely execution of cycle count worksheets. Conducts recounts, as required and performs root-cause analysis.
  • Researches any additional requests from management (i.e. inventory discrepancies, emails) above and beyond and computer-generated cycle count worksheets.
  • Prepares daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly cycle count inventory accuracy reports.
  • Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Maintains and supports product identification and location program adherence.
  • Follows all safety guidelines.
  • Participates with quarterly physical inventory and reconciliation process as directed.
  • Handles other essential tasks as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and willingness to learn company specific system.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reading and math skills.
  • Able to tolerate frequent standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift or move typically up to 25 lbs.
  • Other physical demands – stooping, kneeling, reach, climb, sit, bend and move about the facility.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice.
  • Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred
  • Previous cycle counting experience.
