Constellium Van Buren is a state-of-the-art production facility which produces customized aluminum automotive structures and crash management systems for our OEM customers and features advanced development and prototyping capabilities.

Located at the heart of the automotive industry in metro Detroit, our employees work closely with our OEM customers and suppliers to ensure our products meet precise performance, quality and safety specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FIFO method and following EHS policies.
• HS diploma or GED required; 1–3 years inventory/manufacturing experience.
• Learn Plex screens for parts, inventory and cycles.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts with scan gun and trains, providing daily direction to production.
• Ensure material is in correct storage locations and movements are scanned.
• Complete daily hi-lo checks and maintain equipment charging.
• Track cycles in Excel and assist with label discrepancies.
• Maintain a laptop, manage emails and carry a radio on the shop floor.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Perform daily cycle counts with scan gun, trains, leads, and provides daily direction to
• production
• Ensure that all material is in correct storage locations
• Complete daily hi-lo checklists and ensure hi-lo equipment is properly charged and
• maintained
• Follow cycle count program instructions
• Assist production with label discrepancies
• Track cycles in excel documents
• Problem solve inventory discrepancies - basic level
• Learn all parts and their assigned locations
• Ensure all material movements are scanned
• Must maintain a laptop and manage emails
• Must carry a radio to support shop floor
• All other duties assigned by supervision and necessary to perform the job

Required competencies, experience, and technical skills

• Follow all Constellium EHS policies and procedures
• Knowledge of FIFO method
• Must learn Plex screens for parts, inventory, control panel, bill of material, and cycles
• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1 – 3 years of inventory managmentand/or manufacturing experience, required.
