Job summary

AP EMISSIONS TECHNOLOGIES LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Cycle Counter to maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.

You will audit WIP and finished goods, analyze discrepancies, support Lean initiatives, and collaborate with Inventory Control and warehouse teams to implement corrective actions. Forklift and cherry-picker certification are required or achievable within training.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of cycle-counting experience in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory-system transactions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across departments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to safe equipment operation and ongoing certification.

Responsibilities

  • Audit work-in-process and finished-goods inventory for accurate labels, bin locations, quantities, and descriptions.
  • Help minimize obsolete inventory by maintaining accuracy and coordinating disposition of excess materials.
  • Prepare reports identifying discrepancies, summarize findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to identify causes of discrepancies and required improvements.
  • Participate in corrective actions and support improved methods and procedures.
  • Administer cycle-count program per schedule and report results to promote timely resolution.
  • Promote accurate use of handheld scanners and support their broader implementation.
  • Contribute to Lean initiatives to improve accuracy and inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement warehouse floor improvements.

The position collaborates with Inventory Control and warehouse teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiativesSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES1.Audit work-in-process and finished-goods inventory to verify accurate labels, bin locations, quantities, and item descriptions.2.Help minimize obsolete inventory by maintaining inventory accuracy and coordinating the disposition of excess materials.3.Prepare reports that identify inventory discrepancies, summarize findings, and recommend corrective actions to the Inventory Control team.4.Conduct root-cause analyses to identify the causes of inventory discrepancies and the process areas requiring corrective action.5.Participate in corrective-action discussions and assist with implementing improved methods and procedures.6.Administer the cycle-count program in accordance with the schedule established by the Inventory Manager, and report results consistently to promote timely resolution of discrepancies.7.Promote the accurate use of handheld barcode scanners and support their implementation in additional inventory-control areas.8.Contribute to Lean initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, reduce inventory levels, and increase inventory turns.9.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements on the warehouse floor.STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE1.Work independently and consistently meet established deadlines.2.Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.3.Remain on schedule and meet company requirements for completing all required inventory counts accurately and on time.4.Collaborate effectively with employees across departments.5.Perform all assigned tasks safely, accurately, and productively.6.Follow and actively support all warehouse safety programs and procedures.7.Maintain accuracy when working with part numbers, bin locations, and quantities.8.Complete inventory transactions accurately and consistently in the system.9.Demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain established quality standards.SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS1.Demonstrated computer proficiency, including accurate data entry, data analysis, inventory-system transactions, and working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.2.Proficiency in basic mathematics, including calculations related to inventory quantities, variances, and adjustments.3.Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with employees across departments.4.Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet competing deadlines.5.At least three years of cycle-counting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.6.Understanding of the financial impact of inventory adjustments.7.Current forklift and cherry-picker certification, or the ability to obtain certification within the required training period, with demonstrated commitment to safe equipment operation.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
