Job summary

RSCC Wire & Cable LLC is seeking a cost accounting and inventory professional to manage inventory for East Granby and Seymour facilities, including physical inventories and detailed financial analysis to support inventory management.

The role emphasizes monitoring adjustments, developing standard costs with Engineering/Procurement, ERP data integrity, GL reconciliation, and month-end close support. Strong Excel/ERP skills and a BS degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and related experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP).
• Ability to analyze inventories and costs and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze inventory adjustments and write-offs for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and prepare raw material standard costs with Engineering and Procurement.
• Load and maintain standard costs in the ERP system and value inventory.
• Reconcile GL to Stock Status reports and perform monthly variance analysis.
• Conduct physical inventories and reconcile counts to GL and detailed records.
• Support month-end close, cycle counts, and SOX controls.

We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.This position manages the overall cost accounting and inventory function for the East Granby and Seymour facilities, including conducting physical inventories and performing detailed financial analysis in support of inventory management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze inventory adjustments and write-offs to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies.Develop and prepare raw material standard costs in collaboration with the Engineering and Procurement teams.Load and maintain the integrity of standard costs within the ERP system.Develop methods to value inventory and maintain the integrity of all inventory records.Review and record daily inventory transactions in the General Ledger.Reconcile the General Ledger to the Stock Status Report on a monthly basis.Review and explain variances and implement corrective actions where applicable.Conduct physical inventories, reconcile counts to the General Ledger and detailed inventory records, and accurately record all fluctuations.Communicate inventory fluctuations to the appropriate levels within the organization.Prepare and/or oversee daily scrap reporting.Reconcile scrap reclaim activity with outside scrap vendors.Support reserves for Excess and Obsolete inventory in accordance with corporate policies.Assist in maintaining the integrity of the labor and overhead reporting model to ensure proper matching of expenses with direct material inventory.Ensure compliance with Standard Practice Instructions and Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls across all areas of responsibility.Support maintenance of the FIFO/LIFO reporting model for proper monthly inventory valuation, including annual LIFOPro submissions for Tax Package reporting to Marmon.Coordinate, record, and maintain records for the cycle count program.Prepare analyses to assist senior management in decisions affecting product pricing and profitability.Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.Partner with manufacturing teams to provide reporting and analysis that support operational decision-making on the shop floor.Work with Spec Engineering to support costing for newly created and updated parts.Lead coordination with external auditors to efficiently resolve costing questions and issues.Support month-end close activities and related reporting.Assist the VP of Finance, Controller, and Assistant Controller in preparing management reports and deliverables for the corporate office.These duties are representative of the position and are not intended to be a comprehensive list of all responsibilities.
