Job summary

Core-Mark International is seeking an Inventory Cycle Counter to perform counts of the physical inventory, verify records, and support accurate warehouse stock levels.

You will count materials, equipment, and supplies, compare to office records, and prepare reports while maintaining shrink controls. The role requires lifting up to 65 lbs and working Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of warehouse inventory experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to count and perform inventory duties with math on adding machines.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly, 40 lbs frequently, and 65 lbs occasionally.
• Able to learn or have experience with Inventory Management Software such as DCMS.
• Able to work in warehouse temperatures including freezer/cooler.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Count materials and create inventory records.
• Compare inventories to office records and compute figures.
• Verify clerical counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory rotations and make recommendations.
• Prepare reports: inventory balances, cycle counts, and production breakdowns.
• Review daily reports directed by the Auditor.
• Maintain shrink at or below company standard.
• Understand how other departments impact inventory and its integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Sunday - Thursday
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 22.25 per hour

Position Purpose

As the Inventory Cycle Counter, you will be responsible for performing counts of the physical inventory and researching ways to insure efficiencies within the inventory processes. You will count material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in-stock to provide inventory records for the warehouse. A successful candidate will play a key role in providing quality assurance to warehouse practices.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in-stock; creating total inventory records.
• Comparing inventories to office records and computing figures from records.
• Verifying clerical computations against physical count of stock and investigating discrepancies.
• Monitoring inventory rotations and making recommendations as needed.
• Preparing reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns.
• Preparing list of depleted items and recommending survey of defective/unusable items.
• Reviewing and investigating daily reports directed by the Auditor.
• Maintaining shrink at or below company standard.
• Understanding overall business and departments in how they impact inventory and its integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Degree or General Educational Development (GED) or Equivalent Experi4ence
• 1+ years inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to count and perform inventory duties; apply strong math skills while using adding machines.
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to learn or have experience with Inventory Management Software such as DCMS.
• Ability to work in normal warehouse temperatures including Freezer/Cooler.
• Ability to work at high levels in the warehouse using Cherry Picker with appropriate PPE.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed is preferred
