Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Cycle Counter at our Milwaukie, OR facility to maintain accurate inventory, perform counts, and reconcile ERP data to support material availability and continuous improvement in the plant.

This onsite role requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and experience with cycle counting and ERP/MRP systems. The shift is 1st shift and the position is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with cycle counting, inventory control, warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory movements preferred.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred; experience with Infor Syteline or M3 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and scheduled cycle counts of materials to meet accuracy goals.
• Verify and record shop-floor inventory data within required timeframes; compare physical counts with ERP records.
• Review ERP transactions and material movements to research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of count variances and document findings.
• Communicate shortages, variances, and inventory concerns to stakeholders to prevent delays.
• Prepare inventory accuracy, variance, and root-cause reports.
• Maintain item identification and location labeling using 5S and visual-management standards.
• Assist with physical inventories and inventory-control audits.
• Support process and system improvements to reduce excess inventory and improve material flow.
• Safely operate forklift and other powered equipment when required.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental, and workplace procedures.

Maintain accurate inventory records by performing scheduled cycle counts, validating physical inventory against ERP data, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating timely corrections. Support reliable material availability, inventory reporting, physical inventory activities, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Shift Timings: 1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, consignment inventory, and non-conforming materials to meet established accuracy goals.
• Verify and record shop-floor inventory data within required timeframes; compare physical counts with ERP records and maintain supporting documentation.
• Review ERP transactions and material movements to research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of count variances, document findings, complete authorized corrections, and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
• Communicate shortages, variances, and inventory concerns to Scheduling, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and other stakeholders to help prevent delays and backorders.
• Prepare inventory accuracy, variance, and root-cause reports and maintain complete, accurate records.
• Maintain item identification and location labeling using established 5S and visual-management standards.
• Assist with preparation, execution, and reconciliation of physical inventories and inventory-control audits.
• Support process and system improvements that reduce excess inventory, minimize cost, improve material flow, and maximize working capital.
• Safely operate a forklift or other powered industrial truck when needed and authorized.
• Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and workplace procedures and maintain an orderly work area.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $25.00 and $28.50 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.

Knowledge/Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with cycle counting, inventory control, warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory movements preferred.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred; experience with Infor Syteline or M3 is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Forklift or powered industrial truck certification required when operating applicable equipment; ability to obtain and maintain company authorization is acceptable at hire.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and perform the calculations necessary to complete inventory-control work accurately.
