Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Louisiana is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Associate responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counts to verify that physical stock matches the computer records. You will conduct scheduled cycle counts, document discrepancies, investigate root causes, and report over/under quantities and damaged products to supervision.

Safety-sensitive role requiring forklift operation and pre-employment drug testing.

Qualifications

This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. The test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Organized thought process with ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem solving skills. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math. Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift or machinery on a daily basis.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility; regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision and close focus; required to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. and consistently 55lbs while stooping , kneeling, reaching and carrying inventory.
