Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college.
  • 3+ years’ experience with requirements, capability development documentation and approval processes.
  • Knowledge of Army/Joint Cyberspace Operations doctrine and related policies.
  • Multiple cyber security certifications listed are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior SME support in Cyberspace strategies and policies development.

Job description

Compass Point Federal (Compass Point) is hiring a seasoned professional with experience and expertise in Cyberspace Operations in support of the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Fort Gordon, Georgia.

The Cyberspace Operations Analyst provides operational, systems, and technical subject matter expertise in Army Cyberspace Operations for a key program at Fort Gordon. This individual will support proponent and non-proponent concepts, doctrine, and material requirement documents to ensure Cyber issues are addressed in the development, acquisition, and employment of Cyberspace Operations. This may include comments, recommendations, working group participation, and other technical support to ensure Cyberspace Operations are properly addressed.

The ideal candidate possesses a working knowledge of associated Cyberspace Operations and network operations software and management tools and will have hands‑on experience supporting Cyber‑EW Future Capability Directorate (FCD). This position requires extensive knowledge of all relevant Army Cyber and Computer Networking doctrine, policy, and regulations; knowledge of joint and service Cyber organizations and their functions; and experience/knowledge to coordinate and collaborate with Army proponents, units, the DA Staff, and other DOTMLPF‑P responsible agents to facilitate timely analysis and solution development required by the Army and Joint requirements process.

Responsibilities
  • Analysts provide operational, systems, and technical senior executive level subject matter expertise, and analysis in the development, proposal, coordination, and implementation of Cyberspace strategies and policies. They are subject matter experts in all aspects of strategic, operational, and tactical levels of spectrum operations and execution.
  • Participate in activities that support Strategy and Policy, Program Management and Requirements Analysis for Cyberspace which may include activities such as providing operational concepts and capabilities to strengthen the Army’s ability to execute its mission as part of a joint or multi-national operating force. Ensure collaboration and staffing of final product with all Army elements, commands, and Direct Reporting Units, other services, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and other critical stakeholders.
  • Assist the Cyberspace Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Capability Development (CAPDEV) Branch integrate Cyberspace capabilities across the DOTMLPF-P ensuring currency and relevancy to operational concepts for current and future forces, from testing and evaluation through fielding, to coordinating and assessing impacts associated with new systems or capabilities. Coordinate and interface with staff elements within appropriate COEs, Transformation and Training Command (T2COM), Futures and Capabilities Command (FCC), Combined Arms Command (CAC), the Army Staff, and Joint community and Unified Partners on all Cyberspace matters.
  • Participate in associated working/focus group meetings and in progress reviews (e.g., IPT, TTX, ROC Drills, etc.).
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Networking, Telecommunications Management, or related technical field from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years’ experience with requirements, capability development documentation and approval processes.
  • In addition, the qualified candidate must possess documented experience with:
    • Knowledge of Army and Joint requirements processes (e.g., JCIDS)
    • Knowledge of Joint and service Cyberspace Operations organizations and their functions
    • Knowledge of Army/Joint Cyberspace Operations doctrine and related Army/Joint policies
    • Possess at least one of the following certifications:
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • GIAC ® Penetration Tester (GPEN)
    • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OCSP)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Cyber Defense certifications in accordance with DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) roles in DODM 8140.03
    • Cyber Defense Analyst
    • Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support
    • Cyber Defense Incident Responder
    • CSSP Manager
  • Must possess the ability to edit documents for correct grammar and formatting; have intermediate experience using computer automation software

  • Military Service Intermediate Level Education or civilian equivalent; Senior Service College or civilian equivalent.
